what and where is a document manager?where does GC save files and temporary files as some rare times it stores a temp. file then replaces it . and then again I got some temporary files that are just not auto replaced too... but not recently. This computer works too hard... a duo core ... but even an i7 does work on my images ... takes a while.. and even only @ around 5 meg.s of file size it is the DPI that seems to cause strain in Mac OS... badly! And DPI is over rated as you said. Hi Wayne,my screenshot and reply is about the "Open Recent" documents sub menu. The Apple Cocoa document manager is build into the system and does store the last opened files in the plist (preferences) of the current application and does handle the menu. You talk now about saving. GraphicConverter does display a dialog to set the JPEG quality before saving a JPG (default setting in the non mac app store version). Did you click on OK in this dialog. You do specify the saving location in the save panel - GraphicConverter does use this and save the file at that location. I don't know where you do save a file. Also, GraphicConverter does display a note before closing unsaved images. Did you maybe quit the app without saving?Thorstenn 11.07.2013, at 18:00, Wayne Eligur <eligurwayne@yahoo.ca> wrote: what and where is a document manager?where does GC save files and temporary files as some rare times it stores a temp. file then replaces it . and then again I got some temporary files that are just not auto replaced too... but not recently. This computer works too hard... a duo core ... but even an i7 does work on my images ... takes a while.. and even only @ around 5 meg.s of file size it is the DPI that seems to cause strain in Mac OS... badly! Hi Robert, that is really curious. Only Wayne and you do report the short open recent files list. No other user. So, maybe something corrupted?
