Migrate prefs 8->9

Post by Gnarlodious »

Is there an easy way to load my preferences into version 9? I'd hate to have to do it all the hard way.-- Gnarliehttp://Gnarlodious.com

Dear Gnarlie,normally the new version 9 does copy the old prefs upon the first launch (this is not possible in the Mac App Store version due the Apple Sandboxing).If this did not work:Quit GraphicConverter (both versions).Go to ~/Library/Preferences/Trash com.lemkesoft.graphicconverter9.plist (and any copies of it with other extensions).Duplicate com.lemkesoft.graphicconverter.plistRename the copy to com.lemkesoft.graphicconverter9.plistLaunch GraphicConverter 9. It should use the old prefs.Thorsten On 29.12.2013, at 07:34, Gnarlodious <gnarlodious@gmail.com> wrote: Is there an easy way to load my preferences into version 9? That doesn't work. Isn't there another way to do it, like export current prefs and restore in the new app? OK that fixed the non-saving problem but the original problem remains. The app is overwriting its own prefs. Turns out the prefs when loaded is 151kb but after quitting it is saved in a 41kb file. So the app loads the old prefs, ignores them and saves the new prefs. Probable not important but I a running a prerelease OS.-- Gnarlie On Mon, Dec 30, 2013 at 7:21 AM, Thorsten Lemke <lemke@lemkesoft.de> wrote:   Dear Gnarlie,please download the latest BETA:http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta.html ThorstenOn 30.12.2013, at 15:14, Gnarlodious <gnarlodious@gmail.com> wrote: Now I am trying to change the preferences but none are saved.
