changing contrast for a selected area

Post by hjw230 »

I have a busy grey scale image that I'd like to simplify by lowering the contrast in some areas. Is there a way to do this with graphic converter?  More, explicitly: There are 2 people in the foreground of the image and 8 or so in the background. My goal is to "fade" the folks who aren't important so as to bring more attention to the two main figures.Sincerely,Hawley
