System error while rating

Hi,I get the same error if I try to re-rate the offending JPGs that were rated in the previous GC version.Rating and re-rating them in the new beta works OK, though.So it seems I have to grab fresh files from the backup, correct? Or is it possible to fix the files rated in the previous version (removing XMP does not seem to work with such files)?- Matti

Thanks,Luckily I had HD backups of the "fresh" JPGs so I think I have now fixed all corrupted files.I usually backup images to DVD before messing with metadata such as ratings and GPS. I also backup images to at least two HDs but I tend to delete older files in these somewhat "live" backups. I store some DVDs off-site All offending JPGs were exported from Lightroom 5, BTW.- Matti
