renaming issue in browser - feature request

Post by Jim Mueller »

Attachments :Screen shot 2015-10-08 at 8.58.57 PM.pngBack in GC 6 if one renames an image in the Browser with an existing name the change simply does not stick. No error, no alert, no hint as to why GC would not accept the name. In GC 8 if you do the same thing you get a cryptic alert but at least it lets you know something happened:

Dear Jim,I can`t reproduce this here. But it really seems to be a system issue.Because GC6 uses the old Carbon file manager and GC8 the new Cocoa file manager. And you told me that it happens with both versions. What happens if you copy the files to another location (maybe your pictures folder)?Thorsten Yes - full ownership. happens with any folder - local, shared, remote, etc.GC6 on MacOS 10.6.8GC8 on MacOS 10.6.8
