renaming issue in browser - feature request

Attachments :Screen shot 2015-10-08 at 8.58.57 PM.pngBack in GC 6 if one renames an image in the Browser with an existing name the change simply does not stick. No error, no alert, no hint as to why GC would not accept the name. In GC 8 if you do the same thing you get a cryptic alert but at least it lets you know something happened:

Hello Jim,do you have write permissions into the folder?Which MacOS do you use?Thorsten Back in GC 6 if one renames an image in the Browser with an existing name the change simply does not stick. No error, no alert, no hint as to why GC would not accept the name.In GC 8 if you do the same thing you get a cryptic alert but at least it lets you know something happened:

Dear Jim,I can`t reproduce this here.But it really seems to be a system issue.Because GC6 uses the old Carbon file manager and GC8 the new Cocoa file manager.
