Pentax DNG error

Is there a way to manipulate using dcraw within GC so as to maybe update it?I have a variant installed that can do various things with new pixel shift images from Pentax. And if I use dcraw within GC rather than CoreImage it constantly gives me error messages about a corrupt TIFF, whereas running dcraw from Terminal processes the same image just fine.
