You may have Recent Items: set to None in the General tab of your System Preferences. Robert Ameeti

Just found a setting in GC that might be the cause. In General tab->Misc section->User Interface, there's a option Recent Documents: Clear upon quitting. Is that checked? Robert Ameeti

Hi Robert,this menu is managed by the Apple documented manager.It works here perfectly.Did you maybe disable the recent items in the system settings?Thorsten Why are no files listed there?

That would be way too easy.Open Recent… (in the File menu) was not working only in Graphic Converter. I have restarted and it is now working correctly in GC as well as other apps.Sorry for the interruption. Amazing what restarts can do.
