[Solved] file renaming takes a very long time

Thorsten, I'm working with large raw files from a Fuji camera (50MB) and running the file renamer takes 38s to fully rename 5 files. Since I'll often have hundreds of files in a shoot the whole process takes a very long time (hours? if running in the background). The rename style is to add the date from the EXIF data in front of the image name so, _DSF0258.RAF becomes 20170309_DSF0258.RAF. Could you look into why GC is taking such a long time to process the files? I'm running version 10.4 on OS 10.12.4
