I've downloaded the lastest upgrade version 10.4 this morning.

Since then I have problems to "save under" as the software tells me that "I do not have the autorization to do so" (you do not have the privileges")

If I "save" directly (cmd-S) it works, but "save as" does not work every 3 or 4 saves...

Do you use the normal or the Mac App Store version?
What is the exact message.
Also, what is the exact save as path?

I had a closer look at the situation over the lasts days and can whitness the following: the saving preferences are unstable.

For the saves, I choose the first option "suggest the lastest file" [for years and years that I have GC it worked ok] - this works once, then if I do not reselect myself the lastest file, it saves on the Desk, and thereafter even higher inthe hierarchy and it ends at the very root of the hard disk. My saves are spread all over different files, and then I have that problem as described "you do not have the permission etc..."

Now I am careful and have a close look on the file where the save will be placed - but this should remain the same one, without having to reselect each time.

I am used to "save under" and not to simply "save" because it happened that for a regular "save" the .jpg file all of a sudden is saved under .tif

I think you sent me once a small app to clean the preferences, this is maybe needed again? (I have the French Version)

PS/ the update comes from you, not from the app store.
PS2: just tried the following : save under - destination: the chosen file OK -
I cancel. Redo: destination: desk ! - I re-cancel and re re save as: goes now again to the chosen saving file; and thereafter again to the desk. etc...
