I wish to add text-and-arrow notations to a photo.
The arrows work fine.
The text... while I'm typing, it looks perfect. The text is red on a transparent background. You can see the photo behind the text.
When I click outside to make another text field, however, the rectangle around the text turns white. The red text is still visible, but the white background rectangle covers up part of my my photo. This is not what I would like. I would like red text to show on top of the photo: there's plenty of contrast. I don't need for the text to be inside a white box.
How can I tell GraphicConverter to keep the transparent background even after I click away?
I am using GraphicConverter 10.4.3.
I have the Text Toolbox set to Helvetica, Regular, 18 pt., Left Justified, Fill, Text Color Red, Stroke Color white and No Underline.
In the Toolbox, the Fill Pattern is set to solid, Foreground color red and Background Color white. The Line is 3px and the bottom two menus are set to Normal and None.
Any ideas?

Just double click onto the text tool and uncheck the erase background option.
