[Solved] Suppress deletion warning dialog in browser

How can I suppress the deletion warning dialog in the browser?

With every delete, a dialog pops up: "Are you sure you want to delete <photo>?"
You then have to move the mouse pointer to the "delete" button: there's no keyboard shortcut for it, nor can you 'tab' towards the button.
Preference setting "Browser - Edit - Ask before deletion" is not checked, so I am not expecting a deletion warning.

I would like to be able to sift through thousands of photos coming from mobile phones, quickly deleting those that I do not want to keep.

Just press the backspace key for deletion.

You disable the warning in the prefs:

Yes I have exactly that setting, unchecked. Yet it asks for permission to delete. I have a screencast for you to show it, if you wish.

Your Synology NAS does not support the NSWorkspace recycle command.
So, please check the following:
