[Solved] selection outline missing

When I use the selection tool the dotted rectangular outline showing my selection does not appear. I have the latest build, 10.5.2 (2911), and it worked fine until today. I use OSX 10.13.2 on a MacBook Pro.

Did you maybe hide the selection frame in the view menu?
