Entering English coordinates

Most of the discussion regarding scaling and coordinates seems to begeared toward the engineering/mechanical drawing area. Is anyone usingCADinstosh for architectural drawing? Specifically, how does one enter dimensions/coordinates infeet-inches? For example, the best I've been able to come up with isto enter12+(9.75/12) in order to get 12'-9 3/4" (twelve feet nine and three-quarter inches).Is there a better way?Thanks for any assistance.
