Long term GC user since the late 90's..... first forum post....
I do astrophotography, so generate a lot of 16-bit monochrome FITS files.
GC seems to open them fine and edit/convert as needed. Is the 16 bit nature of the data retained during processing? I ask this, as when making levels adjustments, the range seems to be 0-255 rather than 0-65535 I would expect with 16 bit data.

GraphicConverter 10 imports FITS with 16 bit per channel.
