[Solved] Does GC cooperate with Apple Photos

Like everybody has experienced, Apple Photos is a black hole with respect to users meta data.
The export functionality is extremely clumsy and made to make the user not use it and get locked into the Apple walled garten.

I was wondering whether GC can be used somehow to cooperate with Apple Photos.
I read in the documentation that there seems to be a restriction in the App store version
"Der Export der iPhoto-Bibliothek in die normaler Ordnerstruktur ist nicht möglich".

From this I concluded that with the internet version an export in the iPhoto library is possible.
Could you please direct me to documentation.

Just select the following menu command.

That will make a copy of the Photos database into a normal file/folder system.

Available keywords and descriptions are stored in the XMP/IPTC metadata fields during the export.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess there is a way to import XMP/IPTC to the respective Exif Meta data.
I prefer to have all the relevant meta data e.g. date picture taken, Geo Location and potentially Face detection within the jpg file.

My current workflow seems very awkward to me.
If I want to change metadata or perform edits of a picture I follow the following procedure:
1. locate the picture file in the file system via right click with in the Fotos app and by this open Finder,
2. right click in Finder on picture file and open it with GC,
3. perform edits, change or add meta data with GC and save the changes,
4. delete picture in the fotos app,
5. drag and drop the saved picture file into Fotos App

If there is a more elegant flow I would be very interested.
For example an automated flow that transfers the changes done within Fotos automatically into the Exif Data of the original File.

Later versions of Apple Photos, I think beginning with High Sierra, has an "Edit With" option for opening in other programs if that helps for what you wanted to do.
