Hello,
I use 5.91 Intel with OS 10.6.8

I have a jpeg picture wich is 283 Ko wich turns, when I save it, to 1,2 Mo.
If I crop it about a quarter of the original surface and save it, It turns to 651 Ko.

Nothing changes, neither resolution, number of colors, dimensions... nothing, except laod, and save.

I don't need you to take my hand and take care of me, you have got a lot of things to do, but can it be possible to know in wich chapters of the manual I can find a solution.

Hi,
oh - really old version.
Go to the prefs part save and uncheck the saving of the resource fork (with preview and custom icon).
That makes a huge difference.
