[Solved] Lost transparency after conversion

Hi there,

I am new to this forum and GraphicConverter. I would like to use the opportunity to say “Hello” to all, before I start my first thread.

For me. one reason to dive into GraphicConverter is its excellent batch processor.

I have a couple of TIFF-files with transparency. When I convert these TIFFs into PSD-format, the transparency is lost.
However, an alpha channel is created, but the image is reduced to the background layer. The name of the layer is lost, too.

There are a couple of other strange things happening, e.g. GC says transparency is not compatible with the file format I am using, even when I'm working with native PSD-files.

Is there a preference I have to change to avoid this issue?

Thanks. I received the sample file.

The latest BETA
http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta.html

fixes the issue of saving a CMYK + alpha image as PSD.

Hi Thorsten,

I am sorry to say that the problem persists.

TIFF and PSD files with transparency are still converted to flattened PSD files, likewise.

Did you really use the latest BETA?
Because it works here.
Which options did you select in the PSD save as options?
