I have a collection of PNG images with alfa channel, they have an aspect ratio of 3:2 and different sizes. I would like to convert them to 1:1 (squared).

I'm testing the conversion process editing a single image, my plan is to:

• Smart crop the image, leaving it without margins. This works well

• Add percentage margins. This doesn't work as I expect: whatever percentage I set it will just add 128px to each side of the cropped image

• Enlarge the shortest side up to the measure of the largest side. I have no idea of how to achieve this

Please e-mail your batch settings.

Enlarge shortest to largest side:
Use the Make square batch. Best wishes

Make square does the job, thanks for the suggestion.

As I wrote, I've been testing the steps from the single image editor, not the batch, I can't find 'Add percentage margins' in the batch editor!

My plan is:

• Smart crop

• Add percentage margins

• Make square

But I miss the second step...
