calibrate tiffs - what does it do?

I'm wondering what the menu item "calibrate tiffs" does. I selected it after I imported a TIFF, but couldn't see anything happening or what to do. I'ts not mentioned in the manual.Any suggestions welcomed.in friendshipRowland: Rowland Carson ... that's Rowland with a 'w' ...: <
