Prefetch complete folder content

I move images from a folder with a huge number of them to a smaller folder to browse and view/edit them. I would like to prefetch when browsing the smaller folder but not when I go to the huge folder to move the images back and forth.

So...would it be possible in the "File>Browse..." dialog to have a checkbox to select the prefetch option? Maybe a browser pref to enable this in the dialog? Thinking aloud...
