Hi Thorsten,
I use Kuwahara for enlargements. Are there other filters that create similar effect and are not in GC ?
If they exist, could they be included in GC ?

Application called BiggerPicture.
This is their website: https://biggerpicture.app/tour/
It is also in AppStore.
It is not free, around $30. I'm playing with it, a free version, it applies a watermark.
I guess it uses Kuwahara, but maybe a something more accurate algorithm.
I tried the same image with BiggerPicture and with GC. First enlarged in steps, then applied Kuwahara, different values, more...less..
BiggerPicture result was much better. Or I would say, smoother.
