[Solved] metadate, DAM, and GC ?

My question is this, does GraphicConverter write metadata, such as the photo rating and any other information I will add about the photo, to the photo file itself or is this user information stored only in GC itself? Is there a way to overcome this? My concern is that the info I add to the photo will be lost if I stop using GC for whatever reason. What is the risk of this? Thanks.

Hi Traveller,

The metadata are store in the file in XMP metadata and IPTC metadata when applicable. So you don't loose the infos even if not on GC or not on a Mac
