I work between a folder with a large number of images and move them to a smaller folder to work on them. It would be nice to be able to set a number of files to prefetch when this option is selected - then when I go to the larger folder I won't have to wait for the thumbnails to load, but with the small folder the delay would be manageable and scrolling would be smoother there.
