[Solved] Autoconvert Rename, then insert filename as watermark

Post by lessbones »

Hey guys-- wondering if anyone has any insight into this process:

I’ve got some autoconvert hotfolders set up which do some file renaming, then insert the filename into the image as a watermark. The problem I’m having is that even though the filenames are changed first, once the watermark is added, it still pulls the original filename into the image instead of the amended one. I had previously solved this by creating a second step involving a separate hotfolder, but that was gumming up the works. Right now I’ve got it set to save the file after the renaming step, and this works, but it ultimately produces 2 files in the output folder, one of which just needs deleting afterwards. It’s not the end of the world by any means, but it’s kind of inelegant. I’m wondering if there’s a better way to save the data from the renaming step before it adds the watermark.

thanks!

Thanks for the report.

Please recheck with the new BETA:

Insert Text (Watermark) uses now the current filename (i.e. with rename).

Amazing!

I was thinking I was just too dumb to figure out the right syntax. Thanks so much.
