I compared GC's TIFF compression results with those of Photoshops. This is what I found:
Original uncompressed TIFF: 40MB
GC compressed TIFF: 31.9MB
PS compressed TIFF: 23.1MB
This is a significant difference!
I tried 4 different source files, and the results were similar. While this test was run using ZIP compression, I also tried LZW compression, and while the target file sizes were larger than with ZIP compression, GC's results were always significantly worse than Photoshop's.
Is this a result of the library used by GC to handle the TIFF compression?
[Solved] GC TIFF compression is much less than Photoshop's?
Re: GC TIFF compression is much less than Photoshop's?
I have sent you an email with a Photoshop compressed tiff file, as you requested. The attachment is 23MB, so I am concerned that it may be too large for the email system.
Please let me know if you did not receive the email + attachment, and I will find another way of getting the file to you.

Your file uses ZIP + prediction.
I added the support for this now.
Please download the latest BETA 5089:

Select in the TIFF options: The result is now nearly the same: Thorsten
