Hello, I am new in using Graphic converter, at this moment trying out its usage to integrate in an image database.
Currently I am identifying faces in pictures, the faces are being added to the metadata in the pictures. Until now the rectangles with the faces I tagged were visible in the picture (from within GC). But since some days the rectangles are not shown anymore. The metadata are there however. And if I try to tag a new face at (approx) the same spot with the same name I get this messge 'Already exists, only one region will be added ' (or something like that).
I noticed the setting 'Display XMP Faces/regions' and I have turned it off and on again, nothing happens
Maybe I am not aware of how the faces database works, should I rebuild the database?
One thing more: if I tell GC to identify faces in a picture (with the metadata already there, but without the rectangles) it says that some faces have been recognised and then some of the rectangles are shown, but not all
Anyone knows what I should do?
And...is there a good manual about the face recognition and how to use the faces database. The GC manual is good, but I feel there is some general information about the way the database works, missing
Thanks for any advice
Snellius

Re: No face/regions rectangles displayed
Hi,
please check the faces menu. Is the item "Display XMP Faces" checked?

Re: [Solved] No face/regions rectangles displayed
Hi,
I have a similar problem:
I added faces to the databes, naming all faces I wish to be categorized.
When I open each single photo, I have two issues:
1) The faces are not always displayed. WHere is the setting to SHOW / HIDE faces in each pircutre?
2) SOmetimes there is a grey colored square somewhat in the middle of the picture (large or small) and there is no face. What does that grey square mean and how can I remove it? It is not present once I close and reopen the same picture.
Thank you,
JPC

Can you click on this icon when editing a picture. It shows/hide the frame arround identified faces.

Re: [Solved] No face/regions rectangles displayed
Thank you - that is straight forward.
On some images, I have two squares around the same face. One square says "Face ID xyz001", and the other square has the "Name" of the person.
Was that since I did not select [Remove Unknown FaceIDs] on some attempts? Is there a way to get rid of all of the UNKNOWN once at all?
Thank you,
JPC

Re: [Solved] No face/regions rectangles displayed
Thanks for the sample file.
It contains face rectangles generated by the iPhone and face rectangles with names created by the face detection.
Simple select the image(s) in the GraphicConverter browser and select the following function for deletion of the Face ID rectangles:
