Hello
As mentioned earlier I have a problem with color management in the browser since 11.5. On my AdobeRGB monitor both of my test pictures are displayed the same. As they both are would be sRGB. But one is sRGB and the other is AdobeRGB.
But now they are both displayed as sRGB in the slideshow to and even in the quickview (Spacebar). The only way to see a difference is when I use the "Arranged Fullscreen Mode" or open it with a double click.
But for me the slideshow is importand and there the color profile is not honored any more.
On the internal MacBook Display with P3 colorspace it's the same. So we can exclude problems with the profiles linked to the displays.
Here you can see the differences in Finder and GC The aRGB picture is more saturated then tho other as expected.
Greetings
Marcus

Re: Color Management in 11.6 (5393)
The color management was not changed in GraphicConverter.
Is the display with color profile active?
The pixel values in the image itself are the same.
But the display of the colors on the monitor of both is a bit different due the different profiles.
So, I can't reproduce your report here.

Re: Color Management in 11.6 (5393)
Hello Thorsten
Thank you for your reply.
Because you can only measure slightly differences in the displayed colors I assume your monitor is near sRGB space. If your display would be able to show a bigger space like P3 or aRGB you should measure bigger differences.
Yes my display has a profile which was generated by BenQ's Palette Master Element. I have attached the profile. It's near to the aRGB space I have measured the displayed colors in several cases with the Digital Color Meter" provieded by MacOS.
1. In the Files:
Every RGB value is maxed out
2. In the GC Browser and in the GC diashow:
Yes there is a kind of colormanagemnent working but both pictures have nearly the save values. There is no visible difference. Both pictures looks like sRGB
3. In the GC Editor (after doublecklick in browser), in Mac Finder, Mac Quickview, Mac Vorschau and Adobe LR/PS
Here the colors on the display are as expected with a huge visible difference
For me it looks like GC is using different profiles in the browser/diashow and editor sight or the browser/diashow tries to do reach sRGB for all pictures.
Hopefully this helps investigating the problem.

Marcus

Hi Marcus,
I tested your files on Eizo display and an iMac with P3.
How did you get RGB value and sRGB value?
Apples DigitalColor Meter shows other values.

Hi,
please download the latest BETA:
http://www.lemkesoft.org/beta.html
I switched now in the browser from the default macOS display queue to my own - as for normal opened files.

Re: Color Management in 11.6 (5393)
Hello Thorsten
I think this is a normal behavior. Because every display is a little different. So the values shown by ColorMeter will be different on every display wich was profiled individually.
The more red can be displayed the less the red value will be.
It was only to demonstrate the differences between the several modes of GC and other applications.
I would assume you get the same values if you use my profile.
The last Beta you provided now has correct colors in the browser and diashow. Thank you
Bye
