[Solved] pict files not recognised

I have recently upgraded to the latest GC and now find that PICT files (.pct) are not recognised and the browser just shows the generic PICT icon and not a preview and not the image.

Does anyone know how to overcome this?

Mac OS X 10.15.7, GC 11.6

OK! Found it.

In Preferences > Image Formats > PICT > "Ignore PICTs in 10.15.4 or later" was selected!

Apple reduces the PICT support with every macOS. I suggest to convert all PICTs to a more standard format like PNG/JPG for bitmap PICTs and PDF for vector PICTs.
