Posted: Thu Apr 07, 2022 10:58 am
Reproduction
1) You have an image open in GraphicConverter in an individual window.
2) You want to browse it's parent folder.
User need:
- A single button or command "Browse parent folder" which opens the parent folder in the Browser of Graphic Converter.
Current possibilities:
- Approach 1: At least 2 steps, likely more: File > Browser, then navigate to folder
- Approach 2: At least 2 steps: Switch to Finder, if the parent folder is still there, drag/drop the window icon onto GC, else first navigate to it then drag/drop.
- Approach 3: Always 2 steps: In the window title CMD-Click the file name, this opens a dropdown menu with the visual filesystem path to the image. Open parent Folder in Finder, drag/drop the window icon onto GC.
Proposed:
- Main Menu > File > Browse parent folder
- Customize toolbar: A button "Browse parent folder" is offered with an icon which conveys the idea properly.
