special codes in text

Thorsten - I regularly use the “^52” code in a text box to show the file name in a drawing, but I have not found any situation where the codes “^50” (system date) or “^51” (system time) would be useful to include in a drawing. What I _would_ find very useful instead is a way to display the date, time or full timestamp showing when the file was last saved. Is there any possibility of adding such a code?Incidentally, I have just noticed that the code only works if it is the _only_ text entered. If anything else is aded to the entry box, the code displays as ^52 instead of the filename. This is not a particular problem for me, but I wondered if it is a bug or a feature!Using CADintosh X v8.0.1 build 182, running OS X 10.9.5 on MacBook Pro (2.66GHz core i7, 8GB RAM).in friendshipRowland: Rowland Carson ... that's Rowland with a 'w' ...: <rowlandcarson@gmail.com> http://www.rowlandcarson.org.uk: Skype, Twitter: rowland_carson Facebook: Rowland Carson: pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/rowlandcarson

I had looked in my archives of the list for an answer but couldn’t find any since I made the request - sorry to have bothered you again.in friendshipRowland: Rowland Carson ... that's Rowland with a 'w' ...: <rowlandcarson@gmail.com> http://www.rowlandcarson.org.uk: Skype, Twitter: rowland_carson Facebook: Rowland Carson: pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/rowlandcarson

I have changed the system preference for medium date to 2015-10-23 and the drawing now reflects that.I wonder if there is a convenient way to identify or choose which date format (short, medium, long, full) is used by CADintosh for these strings. I imagine there might be other folk who’d want to use different date presentations.in friendshipRowland: Rowland Carson ... that's Rowland with a 'w' ...: <rowlandcarson@gmail.com> http://www.rowlandcarson.org.uk: Skype, Twitter: rowland_carson Facebook: Rowland Carson: pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/rowlandcarson
