Preferences > General > Display Tool Windows
Display Aspect Ratio: [ Lower:Higher ▾ ] with these choices:
- Lower:Higher
- Width:Height (orientation dependent)
- Lower:Higher, with the equivalent decimal number
- Width:Height (orientation dependent), with the equivalent decimal number
Browser in icon view can show ratio
Currently hardcoded as overlay on the bottom left over the thumbnail.
Preferences > Browser > Thumbnail Metadata > Picture
I propose to expand the on/off toggle with two sub-choices:
[√] Ratio
Style: [ Lower:Higher ▾ ] shall have same choices as at Preferences > General > Display Tool Windows
Position: [ Thumbnail overlay bottom left ▾ ] with further choices: Standalone attribute line | Combined attribute line: Size Resolution Ratio
Browser in list view does not show aspect ratio
- You can "Sort by" → "Aspect Ratio" but I did not find a possibility to show the aspect ratio as an attribute-column.
- Dunno whether attributes for list view are customizable. Didn't find possibility in menu or preferences.
- Any idea?
Ratio in Preview Panel of Browser
Preferences > Browser > Preview
As I understand the concept is this:
- With "Additional Tabs" you customize which tabs to show in what order and can define which one is preselected with "Default Tab".
- The "Image" tab with section "General image data" is hardcoded and not customizable
- The tab "Summary" is there to give you a customizable attribute list (which ones to show in what order)
I propose these changes
- The "Size" attribute line gets the "Ratio" integrated
- Units get abbreviated (px and MP)
- Attribute get separators which increase readability (bullet or pipe character)
- So in total this will look like this:
Size: 640 x 960 px | 0.6 MP | 2:3 | 0.6667
