Spares you some manual canvas resizing and pasting and object pushing.
E.g. in screen design very handy for inserting e.g. a menu on top or a tab-bar on bottom.

Haha! This was intended as a praise only. And you yourself found that one aspect was missing and added it right away.
Now that it's completed by the missing positional designator(s) it's even more helpful now!
