"Customize toolbar" in Editor window and Browser window works only partially:
1) Remove icons
2) Change order of icons
3) Drag default template in

GraphicConverter 11.7.1 (5648) on macOS 11.7, see bug videos:
• Toolbar customizing fails in Editor window
• Toolbar customizing fails in Browser window

I checked this with GC11 build 5623. -> No issues.

Is there anything new in macOS 11.7.1, macOS 12, macOS 13 or GC11 build 5648?

Customizing the toolbar never worked on macOS 11 over the recent 4 months. I only took time now to reported it.

The toolbar is completely managed by the macOS. GraphicConverter provides only the icons.

Works here on Ventura perfectly. Also, worked before onto Monterey.

But "Customize Toolbar" works in other apps on my macOS 11.7.

E.g. here in Safari I could just
successfully remove icons and persist this.
and then re-add and persist again.


Same user stories also work in a 3rd party apps, e.g. MacDown.

So it must be GraphicConverter's fault. To some degree at least.

Can you maybe try under a new user? Maybe the application prefs are corrupted.

Created a new user. Behaves exactly the same as reported in my initial post: Action 1 fails, 2 + 3 work.

@forum_adm Reported a new finding in my last post. Never got a reaction. Shall we close this as unfixable for macOS 11 ?

Seems to be a bug of macOS 11 and 12. Works perfectly onto macOS 13.
I have no idea for a workaround because the complete toolbar is managed by the macOS window manager. I provide only the icons.
