Browser > Edit > Keyboard > Arrow keys stop at first and last item
1) That my preference is ignored and GC instead always seems to follow the behavior "Arrow keys continue with first or last item at end or beginning".
a) In the Browser
b) In Convert and Modify, both in the source and destination panel.
At the beginning of the summer I remember that GC correctly followed that preference. I experience that ignoring of preference since about 1 month.
2) And if you are already there: All 3 options contain an English grammar mistake:
"Arrow keys" (3rd person, plural) and then the verb "continues" / "stops" / "switches" is in 3rd person singular with the additional "s" at the end.
Arrow keys stop at first and last item: That preference is ignored
Re: Arrow keys stop at first and last item: That preference is ignored
This setting is working well - left/right arrow key.

Re: Arrow keys stop at first and last item: That preference is ignored
Thanks for answering with the explicit mention that this works for you with left/right.
I now realized that when using left/right it indeed stops at the first/last item with the corresponding settings.
If you use up/down it jumps over the boundary when reaching the start or the end.
And I guess this is intentional:
You want to navigate with boundaries: You navigate with left/right.
You want to navigate without boundaries: You navigate with up/down.
@forum_adm could you please confirm whether this is by design?

Re: Arrow keys stop at first and last item: That preference is ignored
If all four arrow keys are supposed to respect the setting "Browser > Edit > Keyboard > Arrow keys stop at first and last item" then I can report that GC 11.7.1 (5651) on macOS 11.7 has a bug, because left/right stop at their boundaries but up/down do not stop at their boundaries.

I corrected the text - only left/right do it

In build 5652 the possible choices are:
1) Arrow keys continues with first or last item at end or beginning
2) Left/Right arrow keys stops at first and last item
3) Arrow keys switches to next or previous folder at end or beginning
The labels as now still leave room for speculation:
Ad 1 and 3) The mentioned behavior applies for all arrow keys. No doubt remains.
Ad 2) Left/Right arrow keys stops at first and last item. So far so clear.
But what do up/down do in that setting? That should be mentioned in the label too.
Or restructure the whole preferences into a cleaner form like this:
Possible choices:
1) Stops
2) √ Continues to first or last item
3) Switches to next or previous folder
Note: Ordered within the dropdown from most restrictive to most flexible, the medium being checked as the default:
Wahlmöglichkeiten:
1) Stopp
2) √ Weiter zum ersten oder letztem Element
3) Wechsle zum vorigem/nächsten Ordner
