I use Backspace⌫ to move folder Up in a file managers and would like to do the same in GC, but couldn't even find the appropriately named command.
Could you please add such a command and allow Backspace (in the Editor, but without any modifiers) to be used as a keybind (I've tried to bind it to a rotate command, but it still asks to delete instead of rotate)?
Similarly to another suggestion I've added, ⏎Enter should open/enter the folder instead of renaming it
Backspace⌫ to move folder Up/⏎Enter to open the folder

Re: Backspace⌫ to move folder Up/⏎Enter to open the folder
Backspace is reserved for removal of a file as usual.
Re: Backspace⌫ to move folder Up/⏎Enter to open the folder
Yeah, but that's a bad default — deleting files should not be so convenient, especially when it conflicts with navigation, which is a far more frequently used operation (similarly with Enter as rename — renaming is more rare and destructive, while opening is more frequent and non-destructive, so the destructive/rare operations should be less convenient)
Re: Backspace⌫ to move folder Up/⏎Enter to open the folder
That's not great to have to move your hands to the cursor keys, so in apps that support proper keybindings like Marta I use alternative home-row cursor navigation:
j↓ k↑ l← ;→
i enter a folder
h go up
For apps that don't, hold␠ + same as above (jkl; hi)
Or the more "universal" ones
⏎ enter a folder
␈ go back up
