Related proposals which explain the existing preferences in that regard:
• Editor: Behavior when reaching start/end when stepping through images with prev/next
• Editor gets navigation command "Prev/Next image in browser" which steps images in the same sort order as in the Browser

@forum_adm: A good forum search would reduce duplicate posting on similar/same issues.
