Convert and Modify button stopped working

When I am browsing a folder, the "Convert & Modify" button no longer works! Clicking it has no effect. What would cause this? Our IT people recently updated my MacBook Pro to Monterey, if that is relevant.

Which version of GraphicConverter do you use?

Monterey requires the current GraphicConverter 11.

Do you use the normal or the Mac App Store version?

It's 11.7, downloaded from the GC web site.

Shall I re-install it?

I'm sorry, but I cannot. The Convert and Modify window never appears. That's the problem.

Ah, that looks like corrupted prefs. Please trash them with our First Aid Tool:
