[Solved] Added "Unknown tag (700)" to EXIF

IPTC and GPS changes are adding an "Unknown tag (700)" to EXIF. This is part of a larger problem I have discovered with GC/ExifTools making a change to my Olympus raw .orf files that make them no longer look like they were taken by the camera by the manufacturer's editing application. I have tried some experiments and to try and not over complicate the investigation, let me just present a single finding and see if you can explain why this happens and go from there.

Straight out of the camera in the GC browser under the exif tab I see the following:

If I do any change to IPTC, even adding a single character to say the Copyright field or if I add GPS data to a file (with or without "automatic inverse geotag files" checked), the EXIF tab changes to now show an Unknown tag added which is of course strange since GC or ExifTool is what added it but doesn't know what it is?

I will email a sample .orf file for you to try it yourself.

Tag 700 is the XMP metadata for storing the rating, etc.

The next build 6113 will display the info.

Would it be possible to get a list of the specific fields in any section of the metadata that are added and/or changed (or deleted if any) whenever you make any sort of IPTC change or add GPS coordinates?

I am trying to narrow down which gets changed in my metadata that make my photos no longer recognized by Olympus/OMDS's Workspace application as being taken with that model camera anymore.

Follow up on this. The new "ratings tag" now shows up for like so (build 6156)...

This was after geotagging the file using the map tool in GC. Was this the intention?

There are a lot of possible tags. Many are still undocumented. I add them step by step.
