Can GC compress the large pdf files that Mac OSX creates? If so, or not, any suggestions? Thanks all, BW

I just saw this on today's (7 Oct 2002) Macintouch <http://www.macintouch.com/>: "Apago released PDFshrink and PDFshrink Lite <http://www.apago.com/products.html>, Mac OS X software tools that can optimize existing PDF files and make them substantially smaller. PDFshrink supports JPEG, Flate, CCITT G3 and G4, and Packbits compression methods and optimizes the resolution of each image in the PDF file, while preserving annotations, form fields, JavaScripts, digital signatures, and other elements. PDFshrink Lite is a drag-and-drop version that automatically optimizes a PDF for use on the web and onscreen, reducing color and grayscale images to 72 dpi with JPEG compression and monochrome images to 300 dpi using Flate compression. Available for Mac OS X, PDFshrink is $125, and PDFshrink Lite is $35." This is the first I've heard of Flate compression.... --twt
