[Solved] Making Text Transparent

Post by MichaelKK »

Is there an efficient way to make text transparent?
As if punching letter holes in a layer.

Just add a new layer.
Write the text.
Flatten the text. So, it is placed into the layer.

Now adjust the opacity of that layer in the layer palette.

Thank you for the reply.
I should try and clarify a little more.
What I am trying to do is have a layer that for example is solid black.
Add text to that layer flatten it and make only the text transparent so the text allows the underlying layer to show through.
As if there was a selection for transparent text where you select the text color.

Oh, special. That is not supported, yet.
I add it to the todo list.
