Use of digital camera

Post by Brendan McKay »

I have been unable to understand how to use GC directly with a digital camera. I'm using GC 4.5.4 on MacOS X 10.2.4. This is what I'm doing: 1. Start GC. 2. Connect camera (Canon G2 with several JPEG images) to USB port. 3. Turn on camera. 4. In GC, select File->Acquire->Download images from connected camera. 5. GC asks me to choose a directory; I choose one. Then what? Nothing happens. Nothing is downloaded and I can't see how to get the images from the camera. Thanks for any advice! Brendan.

When Graphic converter is running when I connect the camera, I don't get the dialog window telling me the number of images on the camera, but go straight to the "Select a Folder" window, but still get no downloads upon choosing a folder. In both cases the "import only JPG" preference is not checked. Regards, Julian Westerhout

I've attached a shot of the Image Capture window with the file names and thumbnails. Regards, Julian Westerhout
