uploading graphics to web server

Post by stephen e. schwartz »

I confirm pwelsh3126's experience. I routinely use fetch 3 (free) to upload graphics to my web page, including jpgs generated from other formats using graphic converter. In Fetch use "raw data" option. just drag the file into fetch and voila. you can rename the file later, but keep ".jpg" on it. -steve ----- pwelsh3126 wrote: >Message: 2 > Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2003 20:21:01 -0000 > From: "pwelsh3126" <pwelsh@sunpub.com> >Subject: Re: File Size displayed different in GC and Finder ? > >I may be mistaken but... > >Uploading the pic to a webserver via FTP, upload the image as >"binary raw data" only and it should only upload only the data fork >and leave the resource fork behind. > >The other upload methods like Macbinary, Binhex, Applesingle, >etc. preserve the resource fork through encoding or combining >the data & resource into a single flat file. > - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stephen E.
