Convert & Modify is a bit historic. Please use the Browser for such normal batch conversions.

For mass conversions it is likely that you will go over files spread over various folders with the need to filter quite a lot and also sophisticated overwriting capabilities.

GC's browser supports selecting files from different folders only in a limited way:
- GC browser's normal view only shows the content of one folder at a time.
- GC browser file tree panel can only show one branch at a time in the content listing. No possibility to expanded multiple folders and then select files from different paths like you can in Finder.
- GC browsers searching & filtering can get files from different folders and show them as a flat view and then you can again manually select a subset of them. But the searching & filtering is quite limited as your answer and me testing showed, see Browser Filter supports matching in file or folder(s) above.

Thus there is the need to do the searching & filtering in a 3rd party app and drop files from different locations
And for GraphicConverter to have a mode for receiving multiple files for a batch processing.

And this was what my proposal was about. So what do you think?

Some good news at least:

• GraphicConverter's Convert and Modify already provides a way to use files from multiple folders as its source (also dragged in from a 3rd party app) by using the Drop Area of the Browser and then right click and choose "Open in Convert & Modify".
• Still it lacks the more sophisticated output option "Relative Filepath" (over/write in place)
• And it has an inconsistency which I filed separately:
•• Convert & Modify: Drop Area as source should implement "Copy folder structure" preference
•• Fixing that for starters already would open up quite many more possibilities.

When I spoke with Mr. Lemke about this, he mentioned then when "Convert & Modify" gets a redesign that both needs expressed in the title will be addressed. Closing this for now.
